February & March in a nutshell

The last couple of months have been an absolute whirlwind in the best way - balancing work, family and even a bit of self care (monthly facials - who am I?!). From maternity sessions and branding projects to video content for boating and holiday platforms in the Seychelles, there’s been plenty to keep me busy. Add in a couple of birthdays (I made my little brother the most amazing Wicked cake!), school open days, endless hours editing, watching my son roller-skate and driving all over the South West, it’s safe to say it’s been a packed start to the year…and now finally, dare I say it, Spring has sprung.

Maternity Photo Sessions in Somerset & Devon…

Maternity sessions, as always, have been a big focus these past two months. I’ve loved working with so many incredible women, capturing such a special time in their lives. Each session has had its own energy and story, which makes this work so rewarding and forever inspiring. Now it’s the waiting game for their newborn sessions - something I will never take for granted - being able to capture those first few days/weeks. Something very full circle about it!

Somerset & Devon small business branding…

On the branding side, I’ve been continuing to work with some really amazing small businesses. We’ve been able to really refine their brand identities, and create visuals and a message that truly reflects what they’re all about and what they stand for - something I really have enjoyed and it’s been great to see some projects come to life after working through plans and ideas for a few weeks beforehand.

Some video based branding…

One of the other projects that has taken up a good chunk of this month, has been putting the video content together for some boat and holidays platforms based in the Seychelles from my recent visit there. Filming in such a beautiful location never gets old and it was really fun to do something a bit different, as I am most often photographing weddings there. Being able to capture content that showcases the most awe-inspiring landscapes and experiences that our islands have to offer was so great. Be sure to check out https://www.ellipsis.sc if you ever find yourself drawn to the islands (who wouldn’t?!) for the best rates and service.

Pregnancy & Post-natal Wellbeing Morning…

At the end of February, I attended the Pregnancy and Post-natal Wellbeing Morning ran by Jen, Mollie and Julia in Taunton. It was such a lovely event, one that I always enjoy being a part of, full of insightful discussions and a real sense of community. Something that I think is so important especially during this time. I’m really looking forward to the next one in July - I will post some details closer to the time on instagram.

The BSWWF: 5th & 6th April 2025:

The BSWWF

March has been all about getting prepared for the Big Southwest Wedding Fair on the 5th and 6th of April. I am so excited to meet lots of new couples, catch up with some existing clients that are visiting over the weekend, and seeing all my fellow wedding supplier friends. As always, I’ll be photographing the fair itself too, so be sure to look out for me and if you’d like some free tickets, I still have a couple of pairs left! Send over a message and I will give you the magic code :)

The next few months are shaping up to be even busier with the start of my wedding season, a few new branding projects, and a large amount of ‘on-call’ time through the Spring/Summer with my birth photography work. If you are interested in booking a session, I’d love to share my availability with you and chat more about your dream session, what ever it may be!

All the best,

Hannah
